Již v roce 2011 získala blanenská nemocnice jako jedna ze tří v Jihomoravském kraji akreditaci kvality péče. Nyní se ji podařilo obhájit. V úterý 27.1.2015 došlo na Městském úřadě v Blansku k předání certifikátu.

Akreditační šetření se uskutečnilo v říjnu loňského roku přímo v nemocnici za účasti tří externích auditorů akreditační komise, mezi nimiž byly zastoupeny profese lékař, zdravotní sestra a odborník na provozně-technickou oblast. Podle starosty města Ivo Poláka bylo nutné splnit asi dvě stě indikátorů, od vstupu pacienta do nemocnice přes vyšetření a léčbu až po jeho propuštění k praktickému lékaři. „S jednotlivými indikátory mají potíže i velké a fakultní nemocnice, o to více je třeba ocenit nemocnici takové velikosti,“ řekl Polák.

Komise tedy posuzovala jednotlivé procesy v blanenské nemocnici, a to zejména dodržování národní legislativy, správné vedení zdravotnické dokumentace, dále pak zásady péče o pacienty, ordinace léčiv a jejich skladování, týmové spolupráce, komunikace a předávání pacientů, dodržování hygienických požadavků, podávání stravy pacientům, poučení pacientů, správné stanovení kompetencí jednotlivých zdravotnických pracovníků, identifikace rizikových oblastí a nastavení preventivních opatření. „Kromě zdravotnických provozů jsou kontrolovány také provozy technické, zejména bezpečnost používané přístrojové techniky, bezpečí prostředí pro pacienty, personál a zvládání krizových situací,“ uvedla tisková mluvčí nemocnice Kateřina Ostrá.

Akreditace není pro nemocnice povinná. Získané ocenění je však především signálem pro pacienty, kteří mají záruku, že vstupují do bezpečného prostředí, kde o ně bude pečovat kvalifikovaný personál a kde jim budou poskytnuty služby v co nejvyšší možné kvalitě.
